- READY TO PLANT: Includes 2 Dormant Chinese Pistache live starter saplings (Pistacia chinensis) in 2.5-inch nursery cubes—ideal for streetscapes, front yards, shade plantings, and specimen landscaping.
- DORMANT SHIPPING NOTICE: Trees will ship fully dormant during fall and winter and may arrive without leaves or with dried foliage—this is normal. While dormant, energy is stored in healthy, living roots. New foliage will emerge naturally in spring as temperatures warm, typically by April. Dormant orders are covered by our replacement guarantee through April—if no new growth appears by then, simply send us a photo for a refund or replacement.
- ABOUT THIS TREE: Ornamental deciduous shade tree, hardy in USDA Zones 6–9. Reaches 30–40 ft tall and 20–30 ft wide with a rounded, umbrella-like canopy. Thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, with moderate watering (drought tolerant once established). Features dark green compound leaves that turn vibrant red, orange, and yellow in fall before naturally shedding leaves for winter dormancy.
- PERFECT FOR LANDSCAPING: A versatile choice for residential yards, parks, streets, and large planting areas, offering dense, reliable shade and stunning fall color. Its symmetrical form and brilliant foliage make it a beautiful specimen tree that brings year-round interest—from lush summer growth to bold fall color and a clean winter silhouette.
- NATURALLY LOW-MAINTENANCE: A drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, heat-loving tree that thrives in tough locations—including hot, dry climates. Low care requirements and natural winter dormancy make it a dependable, long-lived landscape choice that fills out into a full, dense shade canopy with minimal pruning.
- SHIPPED WITH CARE: Grown in the USA and hand-packed with protective wrapping and care instructions by our veteran- and family-owned nursery. Plants are unique and may vary slightly from photos. We ship nationwide in the United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
- OUR REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE: We stand behind every plant with a 30-day guarantee from delivery. If your plants arrive damaged or struggle, simply send us a photo—we’ll promptly refund or replace your plants. If you have any questions, please reach out!
