2020 Duca di Salaparuta Duca Enrico Rosso Sicilia IGT 750ml

Experience the legendary soul of Sicily with the 2020 Duca di Salaparuta "Duca Enrico" Rosso at VS Liquor. First produced in 1984, Duca Enrico was the first ever 100% Nero d’Avola to be vinified in purity, single-handedly launching the renaissance of Sicilian fine wine. The vsliquor.com website features this landmark 2020 vintage, sourced from the historic SuorMarchesa estate where old, head-trained bush vines (alberello) thrive in the limestone-rich soils of the interior.

Aged for 18 months in fine-grained French oak and another year in bottle, it reveals an aristocratic bouquet of ripe black cherries, blood orange, and tobacco, layered with complex notes of graphite and Moroccan spices. On the palate, it is vertical and powerful, balancing concentrated fruit flesh with sweet, enveloping tannins and a persistent, classy finish.
