Because toddler-aged children's heads are softer and still growing, we used low density foam—and more of it.

KTH + MIPS Research Partnership
Through an exclusive partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology and MIPS, we used CAD designs and Finite Element Analysis to study toddler skull development. Every detail of Mio 2 was informed by this data-driven approach to children's safety.
16.5% More Low Density Foam
Data-driven innovation: increased low density foam by 16.5% while only growing overall helmet size by 2.5%. More protection where it matters, without a bulky helmet that kids won't wear.
