- 【Universal Compatibility】 Engineered for easy and permanent repair, this thread repair kit fixes stripped or damaged M14 × 1.25 spark plug threads in both aluminum and cast-iron cylinder heads. Compatible with both taper-seat and gasket-style plugs, the 5334-14 kit restores threads to original size and strength. Perfectly suited for cars, trucks, lawn mowers, chainsaws, pressure washers, motorcycles, and other gasoline engines, it is ideal for repairing threads in spark plug ports, engine blocks, and various metal components. This kit serves as a direct replacement for OE Part # 5334-14
- 【Comprehensive Spark Plug Port Repair Kit】 Including everything needed for restoration, this spark plug repair kit comes with: Qty-3 high-strength steel inserts in different lengths — short reach (0.309 in.), standard reach (0.425 in.), and long reach (0.673 in.) — to accommodate most engine types; Qty-1 tapered piloted tap and Qty-1 expanding driver tool. Offering a complete and convenient all-in-one solution, the three insert lengths ensure compatibility with all common spark plug reaches. Featuring a metric 14mm diameter with a 1.25mm thread pitch, the inserts provide versatile application
- 【Perfect Design】 Designed for perfect alignment without pre-drilling, this spark plug thread repair kit features a piloted tapered tap that makes restoring original spark plug threads simple. Tapering from the spark plug’s thread size to the larger thread of the insert, the tap ensures a secure, precise fit. Effectively capturing metal chips for a clean installation, grooves along the tap enhance the process. The included expanding driver sets the insert's flange, and positive mechanical locking knurled teeth bite firmly into the cylinder head to prevent loosening. To fit all spark plug reaches, three insert lengths are included
- 【Cost-Effective Permanent Spark Plug Thread Repair】 Enabling an easy and permanent fix, this M14-1.25 thread repair kit addresses stripped or damaged spark plug threads caused by wear, corrosion, or over-torquing. Restoring threads to original size for a precise fit, it effectively seals the cylinder head to prevent leaks. Ideal for DIY enthusiasts, professional mechanics, and small engine repairs, this kit offers a quick, low-cost solution that can save hundreds compared to cylinder head replacement, delivering long-lasting durability and reliable performance
- 【Superior Material】 Precision CNC-machined from high-grade 42CrMo steel, the tapered tap ensures exceptional toughness and razor-sharp cutting performance. Expertly forged from heat-treated and blackened 40Cr steel, the expanding tool and three inserts provide maximum hardness and superior corrosion resistance. Delivering secure, leak-free repairs, precise alignment, and outstanding durability, these high-strength steel inserts with integrated flanges save significant time and effort when restoring damaged spark plug threads
- 【Ease of Use】 Repairing spark plug threads is straightforward with this user-friendly kit! Begin by removing the cylinder head. Lubricate the tap and carefully thread it into the damaged hole using a 3/8" ratchet, ensuring straight alignment. Clean the threads thoroughly and apply a high-temperature RTV silicone sealant. Select the correct insert length, then screw it in with the knurled end facing up until flush with the surface. Use the expanding tool and gently tap it to lock the insert permanently. Finally, reinstall the spark plug to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification — completing a durable, leak-free repair without the expense of replacement parts
- 【Important Notes】 To prevent metal shavings from entering the engine, always coat the tap with grease before tapping. Remember to back out the tap after every turn or two to clear debris from the threads. For optimal results and to ensure no chips enter the combustion chamber, it is strongly recommended to remove the cylinder head before performing the repair
