Aberfeldy 2011 14 Year Old 1st Fill Sherry Butt #5609 61.1%

A rich, eye-catching Aberfeldy bottled as part of the Spirit of Scotland series. Matured for 14 years in a first-fill sherry butt, cask no. #5609 before bottling at a powerful 61.1% abv.  

Aromas of beeswax polish, sultana and prune are complemented by a palate with flavours of stewed plums, zesty orange and milk chocolate. There’s a spicy finish with lingering oak. A rich whisky that lets Aberfeldy’s natural honeyed sweetness to come to the fore. 

Limited to just 604 bottles, it offers excellent value for a first fill sherry cask at this age and strength.
