Actaea ‘Chocoholic’
(Bugbane / Baneberry)
A dramatic foliage plant that brings bold contrast and texture to shaded gardens. ‘Chocoholic’ features rich, purple-black, finely cut foliage that creates a striking backdrop throughout the season. In midsummer to fall, tall, airy bottlebrush flowers emerge in mauve-pink tones, gradually aging to soft white, adding both height and elegance to the display.
Ideal for woodland, cottage, and naturalized plantings, this variety thrives in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Its deer and rabbit resistance make it a dependable choice for low-maintenance shade gardens.
Height/Spread: 2–3'
