After Rome: A Novel of Celtic Britain

In the aftermath of Rome's withdrawal, two cousins navigate a land thrown into chaos, each pursuing a different path to unite the fractured tribes of Britannia. After more than four centuries of Roman rule, the island of Britannia is abandoned, left to fend for itself as the Roman Empire contracts in a futile attempt to defend its heart from encroaching barbarian hordes. As Britannia descends into anarchy and the city of Viroconium is left undefended, two cousins who remained behind when the imperial forces withdrew pursue very different courses in the ensuing struggle to unite the disparate tribes and factions throughout the land.In Morgan Llywelyn's stunning medieval novel After Rome, passionate, adventurous Dinas recruits followers and dreams of kingship. Meanwhile, thoughtful Cadogan saves a group of citizens when Saxons invade and burn Viroconium, then reluctantly becomes the founder and leader of a new community that rises from the ashes. Though the two cousins could not be more different, their parallel stories encapsulate the birth of a new civilization in the Middle Ages.At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.
