Boss Series Wildlife Deterrent Camp Horn — Runs on Ryobi® 18V Battery

A loud, hand-held deterrent and signaling horn for the campsite — built to startle wildlife away from your camp kitchen and to call for help when a situation turns serious. It clips into your kitchen box next to the cookware and runs on any Ryobi® 18V battery, so there is nothing to inflate, no canister to run dry, and no propellant to replace.

Why campers keep one in the kitchen box

• Keep wildlife off your food. A sudden 150 dB blast startles raccoons, bears, coyotes and other curious animals that wander toward your prep area, cooler, or trash — a simple, non-violent way to back them off.
• Signal in an emergency. Three long blasts is the recognized call for help. The sound carries far further than a shout when someone is hurt, lost, or out of sight.
• Stay in contact across the site. The wireless remote triggers the horn from up to 300 ft away (up to 2,000 ft with the optional long-range remote) — fire it from inside the tent to scare off a midnight cooler raider without stepping outside.
• Rally the group. One agreed signal to call everyone back to camp for dinner, weather, or nightfall — clearer than yelling across a canyon or a noisy river.
• Deter trouble at a remote camp. A startling blast discourages aggressive stray dogs or unwanted visitors when you are far from help.

How to use it for safety

Mount or stash it within arm's reach of the camp kitchen. For an animal at the food area, a single firm blast is usually enough. In a real emergency, give three long blasts, pause, repeat — the standard distress pattern that searchers and nearby campers listen for.

A horn is a deterrent and signaling aid, not a substitute for proper food storage, bear canisters, or ranger guidance. Always follow local park rules on food storage and wildlife encounters, and check noise regulations for your campground.
