Read this book and follow along as Mary Finn shows how to transform commercially available wooden eggs into all kinds of delightful characters, each with its own unique personality. This book shows how to: create both ‘big headed’ and regularly proportioned egg people, carve whole figures or partial figures, and add legs or go without them. The carver will learn how to orient the egg, establish the basic outline, complete details such as eyes, hair, and clothing, and paint the finished project.

  • Uses detailed, step-by-step instructions
  • Full of color photography
  • A list of 10 basic steps is applied to each of four included projects
  • Projects: Santa, man in business suit, butterfly-catching lady, and hockey player
  • Egg People are ideal projects for those carvers with limited access to saws or other large equipment
