- ENHANCED CLARITY + RICHER COLOR | Longtime PRERUNER customers know our past Gold/HD auto-darkening lenses won great reviews for reliable clarity—but we asked: “Sharper views, easier on welders’ eyes in long sessions?” Launched, we tested this new lens at real welding sites vs. older models/competitors. Welding instructors/pros tried them on same weld joints/shifts—unanimous feedback: “clear weld pool edges/slag flow; no eye strain after 30 mins welding.” Its unique red back was a nice surprise too
- TIG APPLICABILITY INSTRUCTIONS | Many customers ask if this auto darkening lens works for TIG welding—it does, but clarify usage details to avoid issues. TIG arcs are inherently unstable, and this lens uses a light sensor for auto-darkening; its high sensitivity (for accurate arc detection) brings a limitation: unstable arc starting, current outside 70A-150A, or strong light may cause frequent flickering. For those mainly doing TIG, using off-range current, or with unstable arcs, a future PRO version will add "Passive Constant Dark Mode" (full-time dark state) to solve flickering
- BUILT-IN BATTERY & SOLAR PANEL | The PRERUNER Core Series lens uses an integrated "battery + solar panel" power system for maintenance-free welding: arc trigger activates built-in battery’s instant auto-darkening; solar panel captures arc energy for continuous power during welding. Limitations: non-replaceable battery; solar panel only captures energy (no storage). Long inactivity may drain battery (no low-battery alert). Test darkening with a desk lamp first. For stable high-demand welding, upgrade to "adjustable-shade series with replaceable battery" or enhanced versions—flexible power, better for high-intensity work
- 0.01 MS AUTO-DARKENING | At PRERUNER, protecting welders’ eyes is no "additional feature" but the core of all our products. Every auto-darkening lens has two high-performance sensors: they detect welding arcs accurately and darken instantly at 0.01ms (faster than a blink). When you weld, they block harsh light; for new welders practicing arc striking, they’re the most reliable shield. For us, great sensor tech is no "bonus" but essential protection—true protection should be as natural as breathing, guarding you silently before danger hits
