DMM UltraD Carabiner

These classic D-shaped carabiners are built to increase strength-to-weight ratio while delivering a catch-free connection. The aluminum is hot-forged, fully treated for lightweight capability without reducing effectiveness.

The Ultra D Screwgate Carabiner has a manual locking gate that requires screwing/unscrewing of the barrel to lock/unlock.

The Ultra D Kwiklock Carabiner has an auto-locking gate that requires two distinct actions to open. The Kwiklock ANSI Carabiner has the same gate as Kwiklock but the connector is also required to exceed 16kN in minor axis, side load and gate face tests.

The Ultra D Locksafe Carabiner has an auto-locking gate that requires three distinct actions to open. The Locksafe ANSI Carabiner has the same gate as Locksafe, but the connector is also required to exceed 16kN in minor axis, side load, and gate face tests.

Features

D-Shaped for simplicity; loads connector along the major axis

D-shaped connector bodies are designed to force the loads closer to the spine of the connector (the strongest orientation), therefore maximising strength. These are probably the most basic of all connectors in terms of shape, but this makes them a perfect choice in applications where strength and simplicity are paramount.

Keylock clean nose for snag free connection

DMM's patented Taperlock closing mechanism increases gate push-in and cross gate strength using a special flared profile on the nose of the carabiner, as well as allowing a snag free connection for your ropes, slings and devices.

Captive bar option for security

Many of our connectors can be supplied cross-drilled to accommodate captive bars. This means that the lanyard or attachment cannot be removed and ensures that the direction of force applied in the event of a fall is along the major axis of the connector, giving maximum strength and holding power. The captive bars themselves are not for load bearing use.
