Classic EP140 is a high viscosity mineral gear oil containing anti-oxidant, anti-wear and extreme pressure additives, to protect against problems due to oil oxidation, gear wear and corrosion. Recommended for the lubrication of conventional spiral bevel final drives, mild hypoid axles, spur and helical gears, and other applications where a high viscosity oil meeting GL-4 is specified. The high viscosity makes it particularly suitable for vehicles where age wear has occurred.
