Exo Terra Heat Mat Self Regulating PTC

The Exo Terra Self-Regulating PTC Carbon Fibre Heat Mat creates a thermal gradient, mimicking sun-heated surfaces for your reptile’s comfort. While the heat mat will cut off at high temperatures we highly recommend using this heat mat with a thermostat to accurately control the temperatures.

This heat mat allows for uniform conductive heating, and thus eliminates concentrated hotspots, fostering optimal thermoregulation in reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. This is crucial to enhance their metabolism, appetite, digestion, and overall physical activity.

The superior PTC Carbon Fiber heating technology incorporates enhanced safety features like an automatic fail-safe mechanism, rapid warm-up capabilities, and a self-regulating maximum temperature for optimal performance and safety. The Exo Terra Heat Mat is remarkably energy efficient, boasting an electrothermal conversion efficiency exceeding 95%, providing increased heat output at equivalent wattage levels.

The Exo Terra Heat Mat serves as an optimal 24-hour primary or secondary heat source depending on the species. It is particularly indispensable as a nighttime heat source for various species. The Terrarium Substrate Heater permanently adheres to the terrarium, forming a solid bond for optimal heat transfer.

We recommend to combine the conductive heat of the heat mat with the radiant infrared-A heat of Exo Terra Basking Spot Bulbs. The solar power density of ExoTerra basking spot bulbs in combination with the conductive heat of the heat mat, allows your reptiles to thermoregulate their body temperature to achieve an optimal temperature for enhanced activity and healthy digestion of their food items. The small portion of UVA rays of the basking spot, also contributes to their physiological well-being and stimulates breeding behavior.

Rubber spacers included.

NOTE: It is important to leave ample “cold spots,” ensuring that your animals have a variety of temperature options to regulate their body temperature effectively. This enhances their well-being and contributes to a more comfortable environment.
