The Altra FWD VIA 2 is Altra's most cushioned road running shoe, built for high-mileage training, long runs, and all-day comfort. The key upgrade in this version is the switch to EGO P35 midsole foam, which delivers a softer, more forgiving ride while maintaining responsiveness and a lightweight feel. This new foam enhances impact absorption, helping reduce strain on your feet and joints over time.
The upper has also been refined with a smoother engineered mesh and a softer, more plush tongue for a more comfortable and secure on-foot experience. A modest heel-to-toe drop and a gentle rocker shape promote smooth, natural strides without compromising Altra’s signature focus on foot-shaped design and biomechanics.
Finished with a full-length, thick rubber outsole for increased durability, the FWD VIA 2 is designed to keep up with your longest training days or hours on your feet, offering comfort and performance from start to finish.
