A comprehensive bioactive terrarium kit for Thamnophis species, or commonly known as Garter Snakes. These snakes, part of the Thamnophis genus, are found across Northern and Central America in various shapes, sizes, and colors. Hobbyists appreciate their communal behavior in the wild. Notably, they can form large communities outdoors and migrate to shared den sites for brumation. However, not all Garter snakes can safely live together, so ensure your species can before attempting. The Dude's Terra Firma kit lets you recreate a secure habitat. It includes BioShot microflora, and we recommend adding Tropical springtails and Isopods for microfauna. The substrate retains tunnels, burrows, and hidey-holes, allowing your snake to exhibit natural behaviors. This kit provides all necessary components to start a bioactive setup.
- Kit Exclusions: No Enclosure, Clean-up Crews, or Heating/UVB Elements
- Garter Snakes: Genus Thamnophis, Varying Species Across North & Central America
- Popular Hobbyists' Choice: Communal Behavior in Wild
- Unique Outdoor Behavior: Large Snake Communities
- Caution: Not All Garter Snakes Can Safely Live Together
