Gun Trade in America Volume II: Tom Moore

“Gun Trade in America Volume Two” is a continuation of our work in Volume One. (Big Surprise!) These two volumes are intended to be an index to all the names of gunmakers in North America from the 1600’s to the early 1900’s that have been published over the years. This work was started by Mr. Frank Sellers and published in his 1983 book “American Gunsmiths”. At that time, he indexed over 19,000 names. His second edition, published in 2008, increased that number to over 20,000 names. Since then, many more books documenting North American gunsmiths have been published and our first 2016 volume of “Gun Trade in America”, indexed an additional 28,000+ names. Of course, since 2016, several more books have been published and this Volume Two adds another 5,000+ names to the record. Combining both Mr. Sellers and our work, the reader will have access to over 53,000 names of North American gunmakers. We hope these books inspire readers to look further into the original reference works we quote. In those books they will find the life stories of incredible gunmakers and some very fascinating reading. Read more
