Hamamelis × ‘Amethyst’ (Witch Hazel)
Late-winter blooms • Light fragrance • Brilliant fall color
‘Amethyst’ brings welcome color to the late-winter landscape with its lightly fragrant, reddish-purple flowers that unfurl on bare branches from late winter into early spring. Through the growing season, the shrub features attractive gray-green foliage, which transforms into a stunning display of red and orange in autumn.
With its rounded form and multi-season interest, this witch hazel is an excellent choice for borders, mixed shrub plantings, or woodland edges. Thrives in full sun to part shade.
