Italian Nebbiolo is a red wine grape variety primarily grown in the Piedmont region of Italy. It is known for producing full-bodied, complex wines with high tannins and acidity. RJS Cru Select Italian Nebbiolo is a home winemaking kit that allows you to make your own authentic Italian wine at home.
The RJS Cru Select Italian Nebbiolo kit includes all the ingredients needed to make 23 liters (6 US gallons) of wine, including grape juice concentrate, yeast, stabilizers, and clarifiers. The kit also comes with detailed instructions to guide you through the winemaking process.
To make the wine, you will need to reconstitute the grape juice concentrate with water and mix in the other ingredients in a fermentation vessel. The mixture will then need to ferment for several weeks, during which time the yeast will consume the sugars in the grape juice and produce alcohol. After fermentation is complete, the wine will need to be racked (transferred to a clean vessel) to remove any sediment and then aged for several months to allow the flavors to mature.
The resulting wine will be a deep ruby red color with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and rose petals. On the palate, it will be full-bodied with firm tannins and flavors of black fruit, tobacco, and earthy notes. While the wine may be bottled and consumed after 6 weeks, most winemakers find the wine improves with at least 6-12 months aging after bottling to allow the flavors to fully develop.
