   These Bonsai Kobu-Kiri Hasami Knob Cutters 210 mm are designed for removing trunk knobs & roots. The head is shaped like a ball, they produce a hollow, circular cut that heals quickly & with a minimum of scarring.  Made in Japan.

     High carbon steel is tougher & harder than stainless steels, making it ideal & desirable for applications where durability is required & where frequent regrinding is needed. Carbon steels are more durable & have razor-sharp edges, & is easy to re-sharpen as well when the need arises.

Therefore, it is important to try and keep your carbon steel blades away from moist or damp environments as much as possible.
