JHS Pedals Violet Lari Basilio Signature Distortion/Overdrive Effects Pedal Black

The JHS Pedals Violet Distortion/Overdrive pedal is a collaboration between Josh Scott and renowned Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio. This pedal offers guitarists an ultra-flexible distortion channel that can easily turn any clean amp into a powerful, expressive machine. With a three-band EQ designed to maximize tone-shaping capabilities, the Violet can take you from smooth overdrive to full-on modern distortion. The Midrange control, placed before the distortion circuit, provides powerful pre-distortion tone shaping, while the Treble and Bass controls allow for fine post-distortion adjustments. Whether you're looking for a transparent overdrive or thick, cutting distortion, the Violet is ready to deliver.

Midrange Control for Unmatched Flexibility

The Violet's unique midrange control sets it apart from other distortion pedals. By placing the Mid control before the distortion circuit, JHS has created a tool for shaping your tone before it hits the distortion, allowing for endless tonal possibilities. This innovative design allows you to boost or scoop the mids based on your needs, from cutting lead tones to rich rhythm sounds. The Mid Sweep control further enhances this flexibility, letting you dial in the exact midrange frequencies to shape your tone to perfection.

Complete Tone Control with Three-Band EQ

In addition to the powerful Midrange control, the Violet features traditional Bass and Treble controls for post-distortion shaping. This three-band EQ offers guitarists the ability to tailor their sound to fit any musical genre or style. The Violet excels at stacking with other drive pedals, making it an ideal addition to any pedalboard, whether you're using it as a primary overdrive or a secondary gain stage. This tonal flexibility ensures that the Violet can seamlessly integrate into any rig, whether you're playing blues, rock, or modern metal.

Perfect for Stacking and Layering Effects

The Violet Distortion/Overdrive pedal isn't just designed to stand alone — it's also a master at stacking with other drive, distortion, and fuzz pedals. Whether you're looking for a new primary dirt pedal or a secondary layer to complement your existing gear, the Violet delivers smooth, dynamic responses across all frequencies. Lari Basilio herself endorses this pedal as a key component of her signature tone, allowing players to channel their creativity and give their guitar a unique, new voice.
