Jones Men's Orion Bindings 2026

The 2026 Jones Men's Orion Bindings are a freestyle focused binding which excels on the mountain for any rider who are in search of a comfortable and responsive binding which can be used all over the mountain. The Progressive Flex Highback offers a responsive, yet playful, flex pattern thanks to its unique construction, with a stiffer bottom section that progressively softens towards the top, offering a more playful lateral feeling. With all the benefits of Skate Tech that Jones bindings are known for, you receive some of the best board feel on the market and with the interchangeable Comfort Flex Ankle Straps, you can further customise your response by switching between Freeride mode for a more responsive ride or Surf mode for a more mellow, flexible feel.

Base Plate: Skate Tech w/ Hanger 3.0

While regular bindings lose energy while the baseplate flexes, the Skate Tech design pivots from the centre of the binding and focuses all of your energy on the edge of the board, so your feet can stay more relaxed while still getting maximum edge hold and control.

The Hanger 3.0 is nylon reinforced with 30% fibreglass, combined with a Nylon and recycled carbon post and a 50% glass filled nylon disc for added strength and stiffness with reduced weight. The updated 3.0 features a wider footprint for enhanced board connection and faster energy transfer and has a lighter weight and lower inner lateral wall for better ankle mobility.

High Back: Progressive Flex Highback

The Progressive Flex Highback is designed for a precise and playful response while riding. The symmetric mid-wide profile and mid flex pattern is ideal for carving, tweaking, and riding switch. Made from dual density materials which get progressively softer from bottom to top, the stiff lower section provides a solid carving performance, while the flexible top section offers lively freestyle performance.

Buckles: ZyTech Buckles

These ultra-strong Zytel fiber composite buckles are reinforced by stainless steel springs and a solid steel axis offering maximum durability. A triple-action ratchet system allows for quicker, more efficient engagement.

Straps: Comfort Ankle Straps + 3D Flex Fit 2.0 Toe Straps

The Comfort Flex Ankle Straps are 3D molded to evenly distribute pressure along your boot and eliminate any strap bite you may have. The asymmetric shape makes for a customisable response that is compatible with both Freeride or Surf mode. While the toe strap has been redesigned with a stretchier material for max comfort, durability and response that fits a perfectly to any boot shape.

FREERIDE MODE

Position the wide half of the strap above the buckle for more lateral support and board response. Use Hard Bushings for maximum board response.

SURF MODE

Position the wide half of the strap below the buckle for solid heel support but more ankle flexibility for getting loose. Use Soft Bushings for a looser, more dynamic surf feel.

Cushioning: Bushings

The Orion comes with bushings that sit under the 4 binding contact points in your toe and heel. These diffuse board chatter, maintain board to binding contact, and dampen your overall ride. These Bushings snap out for easily customisable dampening and response.
