Problem Solved: Restores precise mechanical movement for automated ice delivery. Replaces bent or corroded shafts that cause the ice door to hang open or fail to activate.
Symptoms of Failure: The motor turning but the door not opening, ice jams caused by misaligned linkage, or excessive 'play' in the dispensing lever mechanism.
Technician’s Note: Check for syrup residue on the shaft surface. Sticky buildup increases friction, forcing the solenoid to work harder and leading to premature coil burnout. Clean and lube with food-grade silicone during install.
