This cultivar is as unique as it is breathtaking! In the autumn, it creates an incredible display of billowy, vibrant pink ‘hairgrass’ that will add a playful yet sophisticated look to your garden. This plant’s fall flowering makes it a very distinguishing grass addition to any landscape. Masses of airy, open, loosely branched blooms (each to 12 inches long) in pink to pinkish-red hang above the foliage in a lengthy fall bloom. Tan seed plumes continue to thrive all through winter. Muhly grass is a native plant that boasts good drought and salt tolerance. It is low maintenance and looks wonderful in mass plantings. This plant doesn’t like wet winters so be sure to plant in a well drained site.
