Near East Relief Report to Congress: for 1925, (Paperback)

"Near East Relief Report to Congress for 1925" provides a comprehensive and detailed account of one of the most significant international humanitarian efforts of the early twentieth century. This official report documents the expansive operations of the Near East Relief organization as it worked to alleviate the suffering of hundreds of thousands of refugees and orphans in the aftermath of World War I and the regional conflicts within the former Ottoman Empire.
Focusing on the activities carried out during the year 1925, the volume details the distribution of food, medical care, and clothing, as well as the establishment of schools and vocational training programs designed to foster self-sufficiency among displaced populations. The report highlights the organization's critical role in addressing the needs of Armenian, Greek, and Syrian survivors, offering a unique historical perspective on the scale of international philanthropy and the logistics of post-war reconstruction. This document serves as a vital record of humanitarian diplomacy and the development of modern non-governmental aid structures. Researchers and historians interested in Middle Eastern history, the history of social work, and international relations will find "Near East Relief Report to Congress for 1925" an indispensable resource for understanding the challenges and achievements of global relief efforts during the interwar period.

This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
