Mario Gambaro was born in Murano, Italy in 1941.  Mario was always attracted to the artistic creation of glass as his family was always linked to glass making.  His father, Eduino Ferro was a master glassman at Pauly Glass Factory and participated in expositions including one in the USA.  At the age of 13, Mario started working his first furnace eventually joining master Alfredo Barbini.  At 20 he became Maestro for Seguso Vetri d'Arte and signed many of his original pieces.  In 1974, at the age of 33, he and his brother-in-law, Bruno Poggi, founded Gambaro & Poggi Artistic Glass and the rest is history.
