This is a two-position Quadrilobe Executive Credenza, designed ca. 1970 by George Ciancimino for Jens Risom Design. The piece features a rectangular cast aluminum framework, and it has walnut veneered surfaces on all sides. The "quadrilobed" aluminum legs conjoin in a puzzle form at the corners, a pleasing design detail. The feet are height adjustable, allowing for a level surface even when the floor may not be perfectly level. There are five drawers, having one larger drawer that can serve as a file cabinet.
This unit measures 28.5 inches long, 42 inches wide, and 21.25 inches high. The piece has some surface blemishes on the top, and there are signs of wear on the fronts of the drawers. The aluminum frame has some fine scratches here and there. The Risom Design label remains intact on the inside of the top drawer. Overall, this piece is in very good condition. Please see photos.
