What Our Gearhead Experts Are Saying:

"I took the Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe out on a stretch of trail that had been hammered by rain for three straight days, and it was exactly the right tool for the job. The Mud contaGRIP outsole dug into the soft, chunky terrain with real authority, and the updated lug geometry shed mud noticeably faster than older versions I have run in. My feet stayed completely dry through two creek crossings, and a long section of standing water, and the quickLACE system let me dial the fit down tight before every technical descent without breaking stride."

Some trails are better after the rain. The ones where the dirt softens up, the air smells like pine and wet rock, and everyone else turns back at the trailhead. The Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe was built specifically for those conditions, pairing the legendary grip of the Speedcross lineage with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane that keeps your feet dry when the trail is anything but.

The updated Mud contaGRIP outsole features deep, sharp 5mm lugs made from a compound engineered for adhesion on loose, soft, and unpredictable surfaces. Salomon also improved mud evacuation in this version, so the outsole keeps biting rather than packing out mid-run. The EnergyCell+ midsole delivers a high-rebound cushioning platform that absorbs impact on descents and returns energy on the climbs, while the Sensifit construction wraps the foot precisely for a secure hold that does not let go on technical terrain. Anti-debris mesh at the upper keeps grit and trail junk from working between your foot and the footbed, and the quickLACE one-pull system lets you lock in the fit in a single motion and get moving.

Mud, rain, and technical trails meet their match in the Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe (DWGC9OM)
