Shimano XT M8220 Disc Brake Caliper - 4-Piston
Built for technical trails, enduro laps, and big descents, the Shimano DEORE XT 4-Piston Caliper BR-M8220 offers class-leading braking control. As the powerhouse of the M8200 lineup, this caliper brings maximum stopping power with a finely tuned, linear power curve that’s been tailored for precision and predictability.
Internally, new low-viscosity mineral oil and revised seals ensure the bite point remains consistent across temperatures and trail conditions. Shimano’s updated pad design eliminates rattle, while the two-piece caliper construction keeps weight in check without sacrificing stiffness. Riders can further dial in feel with compatibility across resin and metal pad options, with or without fins.
Engineered to work flawlessly with Shimano rotors and levers, the M8220 is ideal for aggressive trail, enduro, or DH bike builds. The consistent modulation and powerful braking inspire control and confidence on loose, steep, and technical terrain.
