The Starrett 465MXSP series large micrometer head has a large-diameter thimble for fine positioning and ease of reading, and a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise measurements. It also has a speeder that helps provide quick adjustment capability. The micrometer has a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.002mm, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish.
