The Answer

The spaceship Shepherd-1, en route to the sun's nearest star, successfully employs gravitational lensing to capture clear images of the universe's birth, revealing its origins and divine involvement. Upon sharing this discovery with Earth, communication abruptly ceases, despite the ship's functionality. Was it sabotage, or did the revelation overwhelm the astronauts? Benjamin, a former crew member, remotely accesses Shepherd-1 to investigate. Finding the ship deserted, he's stranded 1.5 light-years from the sun. Just as he accepts his isolation, he discovers he's not alone after all.
