The Art of Joy: A creative guide to living a colourful, juicy life

Where do you find joy? Do you even remember what it feels like, or how to find it? In The Art of Joy, renowned artist and self-confessed colour obsessive Jen Sievers opens the doors to her life and her studio. Weaving together story, science, mindfulness and practical exercises, this book illustrates the many ways a ‘joy journey’ (made up of 1,000 tiny moments) transformed Jen from burned-out employee to adventurous creative. The result is this carefully curated collection of the wisdom, mindfulness practices and tips that helped Jen reconnect with her childhood passion and uncover the gems of joy hiding in plain sight – in the smallest moments as well as the big, challenging ones. The guided art projects in these pages require zero expertise – only enthusiasm. Think of them as a playful break from the demands of life, and this book as a ‘choose your own adventure’. Read it cover to cover, or follow your curiosity and meander, skip or sprint your way to a more joy-filled existence. Read more
