The Undercurrent Nightstand from Jonathan Charles brings a serene, nature-inspired aesthetic to the bedside, blending fluid organic patterns with modern industrial precision. Moving away from the static, flat surfaces of traditional bedroom furniture, this piece features a specialized carving effect on the Koto veneer fronts that recreates the rhythmic, undulating patterns of sand shaped by ocean currents. The two-drawer chest is elevated by custom stainless steel legs and pulls, each piece of hardware hand-cast from wax moldings in the brand’s own foundry. This nightstand serves as a sophisticated, sculptural accent that provides essential bedside storage while introducing a calming, high-end movement to contemporary interior designs.
Highlights:
- Features a unique carved texture on the drawer fronts that mimics the natural flow of water over sand for a dimensional, artistic look
- Includes two spacious drawers with smooth-glide functionality to keep nighttime essentials organized and within reach
- Focusing on the intersection of organic-inspired woodcraft and sleek metallic accents
- Available in Natural Dyed Koto finish
