Vela wicker garden harvest basket with handle TheWickerStories

Classic garden basket made of natural, unbleached wicker in a warm brown shade combines a simple shape with solid craftsmanship. It features a comfortable, arched handle that sits well in the hand, and even, tightly woven sides finished with a smooth rim. A stable base keeps its shape on grass, terraces and paths between beds, while the whole remains light and handy for everyday use. The oval shape is ideal for comfortably carrying and setting the basket down while working in the garden.

Made of wicker, a renewable and eco-friendly material, it provides good air circulation and durability for many seasons. Each piece is handmade, so you can appreciate the refined weave and careful finishing. The basket is made in the EU following Polish weaving traditions inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Craftsmanship at its best – aesthetic, functional and timeless. Dimensions: 48x29 H:22/30 (cm).

In practice it works perfectly as a harvest basket for vegetables and fruits from the garden or allotment. It’s ideal for picking herbs, lettuce and tomatoes, and the breathable weave helps keep your harvest fresh on the way home. The handy handle makes carrying easy even during longer rounds through the beds, and the oval base fits between rows of plants. It’s also a convenient mushroom basket – stable, lightweight and gentle on delicate caps.

Out of season you can successfully use it decoratively: for compositions with herbs, heathers or spring bulbs, and for arrangements on a balcony or terrace. Its neutral style suits rustic, Scandinavian and modern interiors. Unlike popular materials such as rattan, reed, bulrush, straw, water hyacinth or bamboo, our products are made from authentic Polish wicker – natural, durable and valued for exceptional quality and timeless character.
