When and Where to Plant: Rainbow Blend Carrot seeds can be planted directly outdoors in early spring or late summer. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Carrots can tolerate some light shade, but full sun is ideal for better root development. Carrots don't require heavy fertilization. However, incorporating compost or a balanced fertilizer into the soil before planting can provide the necessary nutrients.

Care: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water deeply to encourage deep root growth. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely. When the carrot seedlings are about 2 inches tall, thin them to the recommended spacing to allow room for proper root development. Keep the planting area free from weeds, as they can compete with the carrots for nutrients and water. Applying a layer of mulch can help retain soil moisture and suppress weed growth.

Harvesting: Rainbow Blend Carrots are ready for harvest when they have reached the desired size and color. Gently pull or dig up the carrots from the soil. It's best to harvest during cooler parts of the day to prevent the carrots from drying out. For the best flavor and texture, avoid leaving carrots in the ground for too long, as they can become tough and woody.
