Cable-clearance slots in the doors allow them to close over cables when in use.

Interchangeable end panels are supplied with the FP-1 and FP-2. One is solid metal which allows the user to punch or drill it to their own individual specifications. The other is pre-punched to accept four Whirlwind XLR or TRS jacks. The FP-1 has one interchangeable panel on one end, the FP-2 provides panels on both ends.

The bottom plates are also removable to facilitate additional hole punching and connector mounting. Any or all of these may be ordered custom punched and/or loaded by Whirlwind.
