Yirgacheffe Aricha

Aricha is a remote Ethiopian coffee-growing community with one of the world's oldest coffee traditions. During harvest, producers deliver freshly picked cherries by motorcycle, horse, or donkey to local collection centers before they're transported to the central mill in Adorsi.

Coffee is grown beneath native shade trees, including false banana, which naturally enrich the soil. Because producers deliver whole cherry, the collection centers provide organic compost for their farms. After harvest, the coffee is fermented for 48–72 hours and dried on raised beds for 4–5 days, producing a clean, vibrant cup.
